A Touch of Spice…Green Spice

Here’s the thing, you don’t ever want me to get “bored” because when I get bored I do crazy things. Some of you may remember this one…http://denisandlisaclayson.blogspot.com/2009/11/sometimes-you-have-to-make-life.html.

Also a lot of times my answer to boredom is to go, go anywhere…so we take a lot of trips. As I’ve reflected on this little quark of mine I’ve realized that it all comes down to my Dad. He’s the one that made me this way. When my Dad gets bored….oh wait, that never happens because he is ALWAYS doing SOMETHING. Honestly, go to my parents house for a day and you’ll see what I mean. I happen to like this particularly quality about myself that I picked up from my Dad because it makes life exciting, new, and fun all the time.

So yesterday I was bored and now you know what that means…I did something a little crazy, but not too crazy. After a year of living in my house I decided I finally wanted to paint. I can be very indecisive about how I want to decorate my own home (a quality I got from my Mother), but yesterday was different. I knew I wanted to paint that wall light green and I wanted to do it now. Thankfully, I have a very flexible, wonderful husband who will go with me on these little excursions to cure my boredom. He doesn’t just “go with me” either, he sinks his teeth in and stays up till midnight helping me do it. Ah, I love that man. Last night for part of our date, we stopped at Lowe’s and picked up everything we would need to add a little spice into our lives…green spice.

(The top two pictures are in natural/daylight and the bottom pic is at night so that’s why the “greens” look a little different. I think it turned out nicely.)

it looks awesome. jonathan and i are firm believers in painting walls - doesn't it make such a difference?! well done. if you don't mind my asking, what color is it? we are moving to a new house in a month or so, and i'll have all these blank walls to get going on!

You're right, paint does make all the difference! We think we might do another wall too. Where are you guys moving? The color is Apple 3 from the Laura Ashley collection at Lowe's. PS What base are you at now? San Antonio?
