3rd time’s a charm

So we headed to Orlando with our friends over Columbus Day weekend. On Saturday morning we woke up super early to go to the temple so we had time to go to parks later. The temple was wonderful, peaceful, and spiritually renewing. When we were finished in the temple we walked out into a monsoon. I haven’t seen it rain that hard in Florida since July. It was nuts. Hence the reason there are no pictures of us at the temple. Obviously, we weren’t going to brave the parks in that weather. It wouldn’t even be fun and we weren’t prepared for it. So we just hung out (because it rained the entire day), went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and watched the BYU game that night until 1:30am.

Watching the game at Buffalo Wild Wings with our glasses of ice water, poor waitress.

The next day, we got up and ready ourselves for a wet day at the park. We weren’t planning on going to parks on Sunday. Originally, we just wanted to go to church and then have a chill day, but since Saturday was rained out we had to switch up the plans. I’ll admit it was super weird going on a Sunday, never done that before. But we couldn’t make the trip to Orlando and just stay in the hotel the whole time, we had to make the trip worth it. So the Bakers dropped us off at Universal Studios because we had year passes that we needed to use one more time and they headed to Sea World.

Heading into the park in the $8 “garbage” bags. If theme parks ever made money, it would be when it rained and they get to charge eight bucks for a piece of plastic. Luckily, after about 2 hours of another monsoon on Sunday, the day cleared up and it was sunny! Hooray!!

Heading into Harry Potter World from the backside. We know all the “secret” ways now.

Eating lunch at The Three Broomsticks. We got our Butterbeers. They have good food there too.

Hogwarts. Most of these pictures are moving and talking too, but you obviously can’t tell that from our “muggle” picture.

Hanging out during the last hour we had in the park on Monday. Now our year passes are expired to Universal, I don’t think we will be going back for a long time, but it was WAY fun while it lasted and definitely worth the trips.
